FACTS ABOUT POVERTY

The 2020 census reported 37.9 million or 11.6% of the people living in the USA are living in poverty, 3.3 million more than the year before.

In the USA, the average Black and Hispanic households earn about half as much as the average White household and own only about 15 to 20 percent as much net wealth.
